One Water

Friends of Blue Hole Learning Series Highlights and Recap

In mid-February, the Friends of Blue Hole held a learning series seminar focused on One Water principles, which seek to optimize water use by linking creative and thoughtful use of groundwater, surface water, rainwater, storm water, and wastewater.  Wimberley ISD’s Blue Hole Primary is set to be the first One Water campus, and as such anticipates a 90% reduction in water demand when compared to similarly-sized elementary school campuses.

Video archives of the talks are now available on the web!  The keynote by Robert Mace, the One Water school panel discussion with David Baker, Nick Dornak, Lori Olson, David Venhuizen, and Ted Davison, and the comments by Judge Becerra and Representative Zwiener are particularly interesting. Thank you to Friends of Blue Hole for hosting and archiving these resources.
