Desertification is not only a worldwide issue, but a local problem as well. Massive clear-cutting in Central Texas has led to erosion, soil compaction, and loss of biodiversity.
Join us on December 7th at 6pm for this installment of the Balcones Canyonlands Preserve Reforestation Series – Rehydration of the Landscape, as Dr. Nico Hauwert addresses the effects of deforestation from global to local impacts. Biologist Jim O’Donnell will then demonstrate techniques to rehydrate degraded landscapes on the Balcones Canyonlands Preserve.
